About Us

New Era Dog Training was born out of a desire to help dog guardians better meet the needs of their dogs in a way that works for the dog and the human. Our world isn’t made for dogs and humans are not born knowing how to communicate and support their dogs- and that is where we come in. Building lasting relationships takes time and patience, but most of all, understanding. I strive to help you and your dog build a mutual language based in trust and understanding. Through shared language, we build confidence and skills on both ends of the leash.

I decided five years ago to get a Shih Tzu named Rosie because I started working from home. She was very easy to train and very obedient. I went through a divorce last fall and switched companies for work. Rosie started picking up some bad habits after this. I thought she may have had some anxiety. I reached out to Lisa and she has assisted me with Rosie and her Enchantment Training. Rosie has problems with loud noise such as: car doors slamming, fireworks and garbage trucks. (Even when I was on the phone with a client she would just barks if I didn’t give her attention) Without Lisa I believe this could have got a lot worse. Lisa is very patient and knowledgeable about what she does! I have referred friends and family and you wouldn’t go wrong with Lisa! I trust Lisa with my little girl, Rosie anytime.

Before I had met Lisa I didn’t know how my pup would react to certain situations vet appointments meeting people. Last time we took him to the vet he didn’t do very well very frightened scared due to his past experiences. We had took him to the vet today to get his nails a clipped like we tried to last time I was a nervous doggy mama didn’t know how he would do or react even tho last vet appointment they gave him meds to help with anxiety. Today my pup is a different dog going to the vet and coming out of the vet . He did so good I was in shock. No aggressive behaviors instead he licked the vet ! This truly made my heart happy and can’t be more proud of him !

Lisa is such an incredibly smart and passionate trainer. She has a way of integrating what is in her heart with real life, applicable science in a way that makes sense- even to someone who knows nothing about dogs. I have been so fortunate to be Lisa's collegue. She is a wealth of knowledge and information and has such a wonedful way with dogs and their humans.
